It’s finally here! “Shattered - Moving Beyond Broken Dreams” will be released September 1st by Leafwood Publishers. It will be just in time for me to take it to the World Conference of the American Association of Christian Counselors in Nashville where I will be presenting. I’m strongly considering taking my awesome producer John Jewell with me to record some shows for Heartline Podcast. All of the best and brightest counselors, pastors and writers in the country will be there in one spot so we thought it would be a great idea to give you relevant information about matters of the heart.
I’ve also added an administrative assistant to the team here. Her name is Patty Jo Diamond and she has been a great help and has lots of great ideas! We did our first webinar together on cognitive distortions and it’s available to anyone who subscribes to my content.
Blythe Daniels of the Blythe Daniels Agency is now on board as my publicist in addition to what Leafwood is doing with the book. She is one of the top agents out there and I am privileged to have her on this project.
I had the privilege of speaking at the Hungry for Hope conference in Nashville in May, sponsored by Compassion International and my friend Constance Rhodes’ ministry Finding Balance. I met Mandisa and Kirsten Haglund (Miss America, 2008) and both agreed to do the podcast! It was a great time and I presented a talk on the new book I’m writing titled “Imposter.”
Shattered is now available for pre-order on Amazon. This has been a long journey for me, one that would never have been possible without God opening doors and showing me favor. When I began this journey, I asked the Lord to use this book to touch my clients who were struggling with the losses of life. Today, I am humbled by where God has brought me with this project and all the endorsements I have received for the book from friends like Dr. John Trent, Dr. Gary Oliver, June Hunt, Dr. Paul Meier, and so many others.
The losses of life will unfold in each of our lives beloved. They will wage war against our hearts, but I believe now more than ever that our hearts matter to God. He is telling a story through our lives, a story that intersects with the larger story of redemption. As actors in this drama, he wants us to fight for our hearts and reinvest them in a way that will tell the world about his love and faithfulness. In the words of Winston Churchill may we NEVER -NEVER -NEVER give up fighting the battle for our hearts!
I continue to be amazed at how God has blessed the podcast. We have had so many great guests and I’m super excited to welcome Dr. John Townsend this June. I was also able to meet Lee Strobel (A Case for Christ) at our church Christ Fellowship in West Palm Beach Florida, and he will be an upcoming guest this year as well as Kirsten Haglund (former Miss America) John Ortberg (If you want to Walk on Water you have to get out of the Boat, and It all goes back in the Box) Dr. Larry Crabb (too many books to list!) and Jenny Shaffer (Life Without ED).
Richard Beattie our media rep from Focus on the Family has been busy working - behind the scenes and we have now officially launched on Women’s Radio Network www.womansradio.com. He has signed with Vantage Point World Media Christian Approach to launch the show more places. We have secured sponsors but are always looking for folks who would like to advertise on the show. His contact info is - http://nyradio.wordpress.com (Blog site) and for e-mail contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you enjoy the content you receive from me, I would humbly ask that you do me the kindness of telling your friends through social media or word of mouth. The book can be pre-ordered on Amazon now, but wait a couple weeks till the cover image goes up.
Again, thank you for all support and prayers. May God be glorified through this ministry.
“The Lord God has given me the tongue of a disciple, that I might sustain the weary one with a word.”
