Heartline Podcast – Episode 90 – Josh Hinds
Today we’re gonna talk about Tourette syndrome. It’s a neurological disorder that starts in childhood, characterized by unusual repetitive movements or unwanted sounds that can't be controlled. They’re called tics. For instance, a person may repeatedly blink their eyes, shrug their shoulders or jerk their head. In some cases, they might even unintentionally blurt out offensive words. The signs and symptoms of Tourette’s typically show up between ages 2 and 12, with the average age of onset being around 7. Males are about three to four times more likely than females to develop Tourette's. And its prevalence among children is about 3 per one thousand. Diagnosed with Tourette’s at the age of 8, Josh Hinds has been facing and overcoming adversity his entire life. He’s a firm believer --that no matter what challenges life --or the world of business throws at you, there is always a work-around that can lead to success. He’s here today to talk about overcoming adversity and give us some solid principles for successful living.
