Yvonne Jones’ life took a horrifying turn when she began a relationship with an abusive man. She had no idea that it would cost her a seven year prison term and the life of her young son. Each year between 600,000 to 6 million women are physically abused. That means 1 in every 4 women. Many feel so overwhelmed by the abuse, that instead of taking action, they allow the horror to spill over to their children. Because they feel helpless and don’t know where to turn, they often operate in avoidance or denial, thinking, hoping, and praying the nightmare will end. Be assured-- it will not.
