I recently had surgery for a torn rotator cuff. That’s when I met my Physical Therapist Farook. He’s superman. Besides torturing me into shape, he runs marathons. Hundred mile marathons! At first I didn’t believe it--then I saw his prize medals. He got them by running with endurance.
The apostle Paul talks about running with endurance too, he said--- run that you may obtain the prize. The problem is running can make us tired—so tired --that we often lose heart. Farook’s training builds his endurance ---beyond the pain he fixes his eyes on the prize because something inside drives him. So consider this: if running the race of life has you feeling beat down, like you want to give up--- remember-- there’s something more powerful driving you---it’s the Holy Spirit--and He wants you to finish strong.
